Music I’m Listening To: PROCOL HARUM “A Salty Dog.”

This English band’s third album was released in 1969. Symphonic rock at its finest. I’ve owned my copy ever since:

Man, I haven’t heard that in a long time. When those first notes sound, it takes me way back. I too bought this new, and had it until 1990, when I sold all my vinyl, converting to CD. This is one, I didn’t replace. Now I wonder if I should.

Their first album, A WHITER SHADE OF PALE, was an even bigger hit. Because we’ve lived in the same house since 1972, I never got rid of my vinyl LPs when I converted to CDs. They’re not out where I can get to them, though, so if like you, I don’t have it on CD, I have to rely on YouTube.

I had all three, but only bought the first on CD.
