Legendary cover. For most of my favorite bands, performers, and albums, I typically post reviews on http://www.allmusic.com. It’s not widely-read but at least responses are informed. Also, http://www.mudcat.org (esp when hunting for obscure folk tunes and Americana).
Ack. Apologies for these piecemeal comments. Should have made them all at once. Oops.
What was on my mind to say, was her involvement with that whole ‘set’ that was in LA at around the same time, all sitting-in on each other’s sessions and solo outings. Loosely centered around Jackson Browne, the Eagles, and Fleetwood Mac. I forget if she was credited or not, but you can hear her on JD Souther’s albums and also with Warren Zevon. There was also Tom Waites and Ricky Lee Jones. A mini-renaissance.

Mudcat is the go-to site anytime one has to track down lyrics. I researched sea-shanties there once. Invaluable resource.
FYI Ronstadt has a string of Spanish-language albums which are worth a listen. Honoring her roots.
