Puss n Boots is an alternative country band from Brooklyn NY. Members are Norah Jones, Sasha Dobson and Catherine Popper.

The famous Norah Jones? Or just someone with her same handle? I listen to plenty of alt-country; aka ‘American roots’ music, or what-have-you. Very pleasant cheery stuff. You can hear every lyric (they’re often humorous) and all the fiddles and banjos go very well with the faster, rockabilly pace and pep. In general –though sometimes outspoken and salty –these bands have good, stoic, traditional values to pass on whereas a lot of other pop music seems dispirited and nihilistic, or just floundering around.

Yes, the very same Norah Jones. This sideline group was news to me, too, until I came across this video a couple of nights ago. Obviously the singer was too good to be a complete unknown!
