It was Dan Roberts who identified the cover artist for the Philip Race book a couple of posts ago, thanks to the timely assistance of Graham Holroyd’s Paperback Prices and Checklist.
Darcy is the name, and at the moment it’s the only part of his (or her) name that I know. Here are a few other covers in the artist’s portfolio:

Steve, I have a western pulp painting from the 1940’s signed by Darcy and for decades I wondered who was Darcy. At Pulpcon 35 in August 2006, Ernest Chiriacka was guest of honor and during his speech one night he admitted to being Darcy. Chiriacka is still alive and in his 90’s. Evidently when he switched over to paperback cover paintings he continued to use the Darcy pen name.

Thanks, Walker, and what a surprise. I must have missed that part of his talk — I know I came in late — but even so, not knowing the name Darcy, I doubt that the connection would have meant anything to me, even if I had been there.
I do like his artwork. He can do curves, bold and subtle, with the best of them.

And he can also draw a pair of nice legs! As a known leg-man, I can only show admiration for the guy. Thanks about the info, I know at least one who I can show it to.
