Right you are about Jeff Back, Howard. His involvement in the arrangement was very minimal. It was the rest of the band that caught my attention with this one.
That’s part and parcel of Mr. Beck’s power and virtuosity — HE knows he’s good, WE know he’s good, so he will quite often lay back and let his band members have the stage. But, when he decides to cut loose, watch out! Saw him with SRV in L.A. in ’89 — what a show.

Nice, but I kept wanting Jeff to step up and cut loose. Lots of power in that band.
