INQUIRY: RED HERRING MYSTERY MAGAZINE

Phil Stephensen-Payne (October 27)

Relative to the the ongoing Crime Fiction Index I am working on, I wonder if anyone has any information on Red Herring Mystery Magazine (from the 1990s).  Even a definitive checklist of what issues were published would help, although clearly what I would really like would be scans of the Tables of Contents and the covers.

(From a follow-up email.)  Here is what I know now:

  • RHMM was published in the mid-1990s by Potpourri Publications in Kansas.
  • Its editors were Sherri Armel, Carol Newman, Lawrence Walsh & Suella Walsh
  • It was supposedly published quarterly, but the only issues known to exist are Summer 1994, Fall 1994, Winter 1995 (#3), Winter 1996, Spring 1996, Summer 1996, Fall 1996, Winter 1997, Summer 1997
  • Of these I only have contents for one issue (Winter 1995), listed below
  • I’m looking for any of:
    • Precise details of which issues were published.
    • Contents of any issues other than the one I have.
    • Cover scans of ANY issues.
  • Red Herring Mystery Magazine  [# 3, Winter 1995]
