The last half of December is always the busiest time of year at the Lewis household, and so it is this year. There’s no way I can keep up the pace of recent weeks, and I really hadn’t better try. Expect only scattered postings over the rest of the year while other matters take precedence over reviews, overviews and other blogging activities, as enjoyable as they may be.
And my very best wishes for the holiday season to you all!

That’s okay Steve, you just go off and have a wonderful time for yourself over the Holidays and don’t worry about the rest of us sitting here, alone and depressed at this joyous time of year, trying to summon up the energy to turn on the TV and watch other people have a good time.

Since I have the inside dope (or is that since I am the inside dope) I know you guys have been good all year, and so (in all likelihood) Sanity Clause is going to be good to you both.
I have my fingers crossed for you.
Cheers!

Merry Christmas, Steve — and beware of Redolph the Rudenosed Reindeer. He’s trouble at both ends.

Steve, good to hear.
Also on a happy note, I wanted to say thanks for running the Bill Crider review of Douglas Rutherford’s KICK START. I just finished the book, and thought it a pretty good read. Rutherford keeps things moving, knows how to craft a scene that holds your interest from start to finish, and in Kroll, created an agreeably flawed but attractive protagonist.
Rutherford also has quite a cinematic prose style that made the action clear and easy to follow. This is one of those books should have been made into a film.

Seasons Greetings to all.
To all who review and/or post, or only lurk, here: “God bless us everyone!”
“I don’t know what to do!” cried Scrooge, laughing and crying in the same breath; and making a perfect Laocoön of himself with his stockings. “I am as light as a feather, I am as happy as an angel, I am as merry as a school-boy. I am as giddy as a drunken man. A merry Christmas to every-body! A happy New Year to all the world!…”

Dozy
Look up some of the other Rutherford’s and the Paul Temple books he did with Francis Durbridge. Very good writer. Someone once called him the Dick Francis of motor racing with some justification.
Rick
You can’t top Dickens for Christmas sentiments.
Steve, Everyone
Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years!
God bless you everyone!

I echo everyone’s good thoughts and wishes, even Mike’s, who maybe deserves rocks in his socks for that bad joke, but after all it’s Christmas, or soon will be.
Double cheers!

Yes, Merry Christmas to one and all! May Santa bring you all enough time in the New Year to keep up with this blog and to read half of the good books (and bad), to say nothing of watching the old movies, that are discussed here.

DAN’S CHRISTMAS WISDOM
When I was a child, Christmas was the time of year when I dreamed of getting wonderful presents. As I’ve grown older, the things I want have become more personal, sometimes more expensive, and generally less likely to appear under a Christmas Tree.
At the same time, I find I have come to think more about others: I try to think of what things they might truly wish for, what they might truly need, and what small thoughtful gestures might bring them happiness.
And as Christmas has come to be more about Giving than Receiving, it has also come to mean much less to me.
Without the Greed, it’s just not the same. Not at all.
Just a little thought to hold in your hearts this magical time of year.

Steve:
Best of holiday wishes to you and your family. Might have an informational present for you if I can put it all together.
Best,
Victor
