Hi Steve,
1. The Wolfe Pack is screening one of the infamous widescreen Missing Minutes episodes of the A&E Nero Wolfe television series this Friday, Dec. 4th, in NYC: “Prisoner’s Base.” There’s a downloadable brochure online on the Wolfe Pack’s Home Page, which describes the event, and also in the Missing Minutes section of the website:

2. The Jim Hutton-David Wayne Ellery Queen series is reportedly getting a legitimate release next year:

Thanks, Tina. The time’s a little too close for me to consider taking a train trip down to this next Nero Wolfe affair, but maybe I ought to one of these days.
As for the ELLERY QUEEN box set of DVDs, that’s news that’s been circulating through mystery blogdom for the past day or so, with a lot of eagerness expressed by both bloggers and blogees.
I bought a set early last year on the gray marker, and I’m slowly making my way through it. The NERO WOLFE series is better in many ways, but I’m sure enjoying Jim Hutton go through his paces, as well as John Hillerman as radio sleuth Simon Brimmer, who gave Ellery a run for his money in solving many of his cases — or tried to.
