I had that album, but didn’t listen to it a lot, and after I got rid of all my vinyl, didn’t bother replacing it with a CD (if there was in fact a CD).

Do you know, I never got around to getting rid of all my LPs? I have maybe several hundred of them. They’re in boxes here and there in the basement and hidden behind cabinet doors in the living room. I haven’t played an LP in years, though.
This album is available on CD, and I could get it from Amazon in the $11 range, including postage. But I don’t know how much I’d listen to it either, but this particular track caught my attention on YouTube, after seeing the LP in a used record store in Burbank a couple of weeks ago.

It seems to me there was another song that was the hit, but I can’t think what it was… maybe “Black Roses”.

From Wikipedia:
“A notable track from the Clear Light album, was ‘Mr. Blue,’ a psychedelic version of a folk song written by Tom Paxton and a popular request on underground radio at the time. Lasting over six minutes, the rather sinister, psychedelic song is considered a classic of the genre.”
Also:
“The album also included a reworked version of ‘Black Roses,’ released as a single…”
I think both songs are available on YouTube.
