I’ve listened to a lot of Monk and more than a bit of Sonny Rollins, mostly on radio, but I never knew of this album. I just started listening and I am already loving it.
Monk is one of my top favorites; he took music into another dimension. At least that’s my attempt at verbally interpreting what he was doing. It seems like his mind was hard-wired into the great beyond.
They were both rather strange characters. I bet their conversations over dinner and drinks were pretty bizarre.
