Death Noted: SARAH ANDREWS (1951-2019).

Sarah Andrews, her husband Damon and son Duncan died in a plane crash that occurred last July 24th. She was the author of eleven mystery novels featuring forensic geologist Em Hansen. Andrews herself had a BA in geology and an MS in Earth Resources from Colorado State University.

This will be the first of several “death noted” posts for authors who passed away year, but only now coming to attention of Al Hubin and Marv Lachman (obitutarion for CADS)..

I read the first of the Em Hansen books, maybe the first two, but then I ran out of time to keep up with them. These are not cozies. Em Hansen (as I recall) was a tough independent woman. She was no cookie shop owner, that I’m quite sure about.

You’re right. When it comes to mystery and detective fiction, there’s not nearly enough of that going around.
