Haven’t seen the Tom Cruise movies but this one looks interesting. A little more (just a little) in line with what I thought Reacher looks like.

I saw the first Tom Cruise Jack Reacher movie. It was OK, but Tom Cruise is no Jack Reacher, and I never watched the second.

The fight scenes from the trailer remind of the Billy Jack movie were he calmly tells the bad guy what he is going to do to him, then does it.

He has the size, and seems personable enough on screen, though I don’t recall Reacher in the books being quite so amusing or witty, which could be an improvement since I am not a fan.
Tongue ‘n cheek might be the only way to actually do Child and Reacher on film. The earnest Tom Cruise films failed to work, maybe this approach will do the trick.
Looks to be based on the first book.

Tom Cruise was a shadow of the true character of Jack Reacher, both physically and temperamentally. I’ll give this a try.
