I would like to know what could be the best Christmas crime story. I just can remember a crime novel by Serge Quadruppani which might be the nastiest Christmas crime novel. I stopped reading it after some chapters because the narrative was so nasty. I cannot remember the title of this French crime novel I read in German.
Steve, you are right, it is this title. The German title is, as The Doc said: Das Weihnachtsessen.
I looked at the list with Christmas titles. It is fantastic. One of my favorite novels is on the list: “A Dragon for Christmas” by Gavin Black.

To all —
For a list of Christmas mysteries, check out this post from three years ago:

It’s outdated now, but perhaps your own personal favorite is one of these?

My own Christmas favorite is actually a short story:
The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Josef :
Was it ‘Das Weihnachtsessen’ ? It seems to be the one title fitting.
A Gangster masked as Santa Claus takes a dinner party hostage to get the code for the bank safe, and then some .

Dan :
Don’t be sorry because of the pony, an animal that size quickly turns out to be a white elephant .

Josef : Gavin Black ‘s biography is something to read in itself.
And the list is one of those things in which to get lost and forget about time and the world, just looking up the titles and authors, and…
